What are the industrial automation control systems?

16-07-2023
Industrial automatic control system through the industrial control computer to the sensor and local area network collection of all kinds of information induction, analysis, sorting, to achieve the integration of information management and automatic control, and through the authority authentication to ensure the security of information.
Industrial automation control is mainly divided into three parts: industrial automation system, hardware and software. Nowadays, many used industrial automation control equipment and systems mainly include servo system, stepping system, frequency converter, sensor, instrument, man-machine interface, data acquisition and monitoring control system, distributed control system, programmable logic controller, fieldbus control system (fieldbus control system, FCS) and so on.
After years of development, the structure and core components of modern industrial automation control have also begun to form:
1, programmable logic controller PLC. Programmable logic controller (PLC) is specially designed for application in industrial environment. It uses a programmable memory that internally stores instructions to perform logical operations, sequential control, timing, counting, and arithmetic operations, and controls various types of mechanical equipment or production processes through digital or analog input and output.
2. Redundancy technology of data acquisition and monitoring and control (high reliability of the system).
system SCADA. The Data Acquisition and Monitoring System (SCADA) is a software application that collects system status information, processes data and remote communication to achieve control of equipment and conditions.
3. Remote terminal unit RTU. Remote terminal unit (remote terminal unit, RTU) is a special computer measurement and control unit with a modular structure designed for the long communication distance and the harsh industrial field environment. RTU products are widely used in the SCADA system.
4. Communication technology. The communication types of industrial control system are divided into three types according to the hierarchy of the system, namely standard communication bus (external bus), fieldbus (Fieldbus) and LAN communication. The industrial control system connects the host machine with various devices through these three types of communication methods, transmits the field signal to the control level, and then transmits the control level information to the monitoring level and the management level.
5. Agreement. The communication between the field network of the industrial control system and the control network, the communication between the industrial control equipment of the field network, and the communication of the components of the control network often adopt the unique communication protocol of the industrial control system. At present, the industrial control system involves protocols (CAN, DeviceNet, Profibus-DP, Profibus-PA, etc.), industrial Ethernet (EtherNet / IP, EtherCAT, HSE, Profinet, EPA, Modbus, etc.), industrial wireless network (IEEE 802.11, ZigBee, Rfieldbus, etc.).
